A-level Results 2025
The first cohort of LMaStudents are celebrating receiving their A-level results and achieving their university and degree apprenticeships places.
- 31% of the A level grades are A*
- 59% of the A level grades are A* and A
- 83% of the A level grades are A*-B
- 96% of the A level grades are A*-C
- 100% of the A level grades are A*-E
- 57% of the Y13s achieved AAB or better
Because of these results, The Times newspaper has confirmed that LMaS is “the top-performing state school in the Yorkshire and Humber region”.
- 100% of those who applied to university have their place
- 93% of the places are at a Russell Group or a Guardian Top 30 UK university
- 85% of the students got their place at their first-choice university
- The ‘top 5’ universities are Durham (11 places), Leeds (6 places), York (5 places), Manchester and Warwick (4 places each)
- 37 students are going to universities in Yorkshire and the North
- Students have also achieved prestigious apprenticeships at Rolls Royce, TC Groups and BAE Systems.

I am incredibly proud of all our students for their accomplishments. They have achieved so much in their two years with us, outside the classroom as well as in these exam results. They all have very exciting futures ahead of them. These young people are going to make a major difference to future society – local, national, global – I am sure.”
