Enrichment
In today’s increasingly competitive world, it is not enough just to have qualifications: universities, apprenticeship providers and employers want you to have a range of other skills. The Confederation of British Industry says that over 70% of employers want employability skills to be a top education priority. Leadership, team working, communication, project management and problem-solving skills are developed through our programme of Enrichment activities. These will make you a well-rounded applicant to whichever future pathway you choose to follow. They will help you stand up and stand out.
Through the Enrichment programme, LMaStudents develop new interests, become more knowledgeable and skilled in an area, boost their self-confidence, and benefit from time away from their main academic subjects. Every Tuesday afternoon is dedicated to Enrichment: you can be active in sport and physical activity; you can give back by volunteering; you can imagine and create through artistic or musical activities; you can design and build as part of the Formula 1 in Schools competition. If you have a particular interest or a new endeavour you would like to undertake, you can even propose your own Enrichment activity.
Because we are part of The GORSE Academies Trust, LMaStudents can participate in the ‘Big Three’ activities: rowing, volleyball and karate, each led by professional expert coaches. Even if you’ve never tried these, you can start enjoying them as soon as you join us.
